How Unmissable went from nearly closing to planning a 50‑client agency

Adam Brown runs Unmissable, a London growth agency for UK trades. In 2025 he was ready to close it. We've worked together since mid-2025, first as mentoring and now as consulting. Here's how it turned around.

About Unmissable

Unmissable helps businesses grow with digital marketing and AI-powered sales. These days the focus is windows, doors and glazing installers. Unmissable runs the ads, qualifies the leads and gets them in front of the installer.

Where they were

Adam had a decent agency with clients who stuck around. But it was hard to scale. He carried the lead generation risk, the clients watched every pound, and they needed a lot of hand-holding.

He'd spent months building a new offer, with landing pages, a quiz and an ROI calculator, but hadn't put it in front of buyers yet. And at one point in 2025 he was ready to close the agency altogether.

What we did

  1. 01

Got the offer in front of real buyers

Instead of polishing it in private, Adam tested his pitch on the 300 contacts he already had. That told us what installers actually want: more good jobs, quickly, without the risk of hiring someone.

  2. 02

Cut it down to one brand and three offers

A handful of brands became one, Trade Growth Engine, with three clear levels. Quick wins like missed-call text back at the bottom, full-service lead gen at the top. He launched in January and made his first sale three weeks later.

  3. 03

    Found the buyers worth chasing

Not every trade is a good fit. We narrowed in on busy, higher-ticket trades, first tree surgeons and then conservatory roofs. And we tightened up his sales calls, so a good conversation ends with a sign-up, not a vague chat next week.

  4. 04

Treated his own agency as client number one

When things got tough, the answer wasn't more outside callers. It was running his own Meta ads and qualifying his own appointments, the same system he sells to clients.

  5. 05

    Moved to commission only

Retainers plus ad spend confused clients. So now the deal is simple: the installer covers ad spend and Unmissable takes 10% of every job it helps close. That's an easy yes for a busy tradie.

  6. 06

    Put AI on the admin

I set Adam up with an AI coworker connected to his GoHighLevel agency account and his ad accounts. It's being built to watch every lead conversation, draft quotes from customer photos and chase installers for sign-off, so Adam can stay on sales.

What changed

  • From ready to close in 2025 to growing again in 2026.
  • One clear brand and offer, not a pile of half-built ones.
  • First sale three weeks after launch.
  • A commission-only model for windows, doors and glazing installers, with live clients.
  • An AI coworker on the admin, so Adam spends his time selling.
  • A plan for a one-man, 50-client agency, and growing.

Quick answers

What did Steven Tann help Unmissable with?
The offer, the niche, the pricing model and the AI. Adam went from an agency he was ready to close to one clear offer for installers, a commission-only model and an AI coworker on lead follow-up and quoting, with a plan to reach 50 clients.
Can a small agency really run 50 clients with AI?
That's the plan. AI qualifies the leads, drafts the quotes and chases the installers, and only flags the tricky ones to a human. The owner stays on sales and strategy.
Does commission-only work for a lead gen agency?
It can, if the tracking is solid. Unmissable takes 10% of closed job value and the client covers ad spend. Automating the 'what did that job close for?' follow-up is what makes it workable.
Who is this kind of support right for?
Agency owners and service businesses who've built plenty but aren't seeing it sell. Start with a free call or the AI Ops Audit.
